Bonjour SARNISSA, Je suis content d’être des vôtres. Vous avez l’honneur à Kodjo AGBEMELE, Togolais. Mon intérêt pour l’aquaculture m’amène à consacrer ma thèse de doctorat au sujet. Je suis en 3e année et si tout va bien, je soutiens en décembre 2018. Je travaille sur l’aspect itinéraire technique et impact socioéconomique de cette forme de mise en valeur. Avec un Master en Société-Environnement-Aménagement sur fond de géographie rurale, j’ai eu à faire un mémoire sur la pêche continentale dans le lac du barrage artificiel de Nangbéto au Togo après un mémoire sur la pêche dans le canton d’Agbodrafo. Inscrire la question des ressources des pêches dans une approche comparative surtout en termes d’apport socioéconomique nous amène à réfléchir sur la rentabilité entre une pêche de capture et une pêche d’élevage. Des expéditions fréquentes nous ont permis d’explorer la Région des Plateaux togolais, l’espace d’étude dans le but de toucher du doigt la question. Les données secondaires, bien que fragmentaires, mises à notre disposition par la DPA, structure qui a en charge la pêche au Togo, nous ont permis d’enrichir notre base documentaire. J’ai eu à voyager sur le centre Songhaï à Porto-Novo afin d’apprécier les réalités leurs et comparer avec ce qui se fait dans les Plateaux togolais. Je suis animé de l’idée d’un stage de courte durée dans une ferme aquacole de la sous-région pour apporter de la richesse à mon travail. Voilà l’une des raisons qui motive ma souscription à SARNISSA. Je m’aperçois que je suis resté très longtemps en dehors d’un monde où j’avais toute ma place. Je tiens à exprimer toute ma gratitude à l’équipe.

ABSTRACT: This commentary argues that the recently approved contract under which the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is investing US$437 million dollars in Niger over the next five years, most of it on large-scale irrigation, is not a good investment. The paper explains why the programme is not likely to achieve the benefits anticipated. MCC had commissioned a detailed feasibility study, carried out by the authors of this paper, which strongly argued against investing in large-scale irrigation, in part because there is a poor track record for these investments in Niger, and in part because MCC has no comparative advantage in such investments. Instead, the feasibility study presented a strong case for investing in small-scale rainwater harvesting for agriculture and livestock at farm and watershed levels; and individualised small-scale irrigation for high-value nutritious crops and other water uses. The commentary concludes with suggestions on how the funds allocated for large-scale irrigation infrastructure (about US$250 million) could be reallocated to benefit a far larger number of people; and a recommendation that investors in African agricultural water management projects carry out an assessment of the performance and impacts of investment experiences over the past decade to identify lessons that could inform the next decade of investments in agricultural water management. RESUME : Cet article fait valoir que le contrat récemment approuvé par la « Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) » pour un investissement de 437 millions de dollars au Niger au cours des cinq prochaines années, dont la plus grande partie est consacrée à l'irrigation à grande échelle, n'est pas un bon investissement. L’article explique pourquoi le programme n'est pas susceptible d'atteindre les résultats escomptés. MCC avait engagé les auteurs de cet article de réaliser une étude de faisabilité détaillée en vue d'orienter leurs options d'investissements ; l’étude a fortement plaidé contre l'investissement dans la grande irrigation, en raison des performances mitigées en la matière au Niger et parce que le MCC ne possède pas d’avantage comparatif particulier dans ce domaine. L'étude de faisabilité a plutôt plaidé en faveur des investissements dans la récolte des eaux de ruissellement pour subvenir aux besoins de l'agriculture et de l'élevage aux niveaux des exploitations agricoles et des bassins versants; ainsi que la petite irrigation individualisée destinée à des cultures nutritives de grande valeur et à d'autres utilisations de l'eau. Cet article se termine en proposant des suggestions concernant la manière dont les fonds alloués aux infrastructures d'irrigation à grande échelle (environ 250 millions de dollars) pourraient être réaffectés au profit d'un plus grand nombre de bénéficiaires; et en formulant une recommandation que les investissements dans les projets de gestion de l'eau agricole soient fondés sur une évaluation des performances et des impacts des investissements durant la dernière décennie, d’une part, et sur l'identification des leçons qui pourraient éclairer la prochaine décennie d'investissements dans la gestion de l'eau agricole, d’autre part. bonjour cher tous, je suis Géovanne Aymar NZIENGUI DJIEMBI je reviens sur le forum après un bon moment d'absence. je suis Gabonais et mon intérêt pour l'aquaculture est grand. j'ai fait ma formation d'abord à l'ENEF au Cap Estérias où j'ai terminé ma formation en ingénieur des techniques des eaux et forêts option pêche et aquaculture. j'ai passé deux ans de stage à l'institut des recherches agronomiques et forestières où j'ai travaillé sur la taxinomie des poissons tropicaux, l'élevage en cages flottantes et la formulation des aliments à base des sous produits locaux. j'ai eu le privilège de participer à des campagnes d'échantillonnage dans le cadre du projet Biodiversité des poissons du Gabon. j'ai regagné par la suite l'administration des pêches et de l'aquaculture où j'ai travaillé à Lambaréné comme chef d'inspection des pêches et de l'aquaculture. pendant cette fonction j'ai contribué à mettre en place un fichier des captures de pêches, j'ai contribué à la construction du centre communautaire des pêches de Lambaréné avec la JICA et au projet pilote d'élevage de Tilapia en cages flottantes au Lac ONANGUE. j'ai aussi occupé les fonction de Chef de services des pêches continnetales où j'ai contribué à la délocalisation des pêcheurs artisanaux de la NOMBA. j'ai été admis en stage d'abord au CREUFOP où j'ai pu obtenir le diplôme de Chef de projet des exploitations halieutiques et aquacoles sous l'encadrement de Claude AMIEL ensuite j'ai été admis en master à l'université montpellierII. j'ai passé deux ans en production comme chef de production chez sodepal actuellement je donne des cours de pisciculture à l'ENEF. merci

FW: Dams, Prawns and Parasites

Les barrages ont longtemps été associés à des charges élevées de schistosomiase humaine, mais la façon dont les barrages augmentent la maladie n'est pas toujours claire, en partie parce que les barrages ont de nombreux effets écologiques et socio-économiques. Une hypothèse récente soutient que les barrages bloquent la reproduction des crevettes migratrices qui mangent les escargots hôtes de la schistosomiase. Dans le bassin du fleuve Sénégal, il est prouvé que les populations de crevettes ont diminué et que la schistosomiase a augmenté après l'achèvement du barrage de Diama. La restauration des crevettes dans un site d'accès à l'eau en amont du barrage a réduit la densité des escargots et les taux de réinfections chez les personnes. Cependant, on ne sait pas si une cascade d'effets semblable (des digues aux crevettes aux escargots à la schistosomiase humaine) se produit ailleurs. Ici, nous examinons les grands barrages dans le monde et d'identifier où leurs bassins d'intersection avec la schistosomiase endémique et les habitats historiques des grands Macrobrachium spp. crevettes. Les habitats de crevettes de rivière sont très répandus et nous estimons que 277 à 385 millions de personnes vivent dans des régions endémiques de schistosomiase où vivent des crevettes de rivière (parmi les 800 millions de personnes qui risquent la schistosomiase). Nous avons comparé l'infection avant et après la construction de 14 grands barrages pour les populations vivant dans: (1) les bassins versants en amont dans les habitats historiques des crevettes indigènes, (2) les bassins versants comparables non endommagés et (3) les bassins hydrographiques au-delà de la portée historique des crevettes migratrices. River prawn habitats are widespread, and we estimate that 277 to 385 million people live within schistosomiasis-endemic regions where river prawns are or were present (out of the 800 million people who are at risk of schistosomiasis). Using a published repository of schistosomiasis studies in sub-Saharan Africa, we compared infection before and after the construction of 14 large dams for people living in: (1) upstream catchments within historical habitats of native prawns, (2) comparable undammed watersheds, and (3) dammed catchments beyond the historical reach of migratory prawns. Damming was followed by greater increases in schistosomiasis within prawn habitats than outside prawn habitats. We estimate that one third to one half of the global population-at-risk of schistosomiasis could benefit from restoring native prawns. Because dams block prawn migrations, our results suggest that prawn extirpation contributes to the sharp increase of schistosomiasis after damming, and points to prawn restoration as an ecological solution for reducing human disease. Conçu avec le soutien de l’UVED, l’Université Virtuelle Environnement et Développement, ce module a été réalisé par des chercheurs du Cirad, de FVI, de l’Ifremer, de l’IRD, l’IRSTEA et d’AgroParisTech afin de faire le point sur l’aquaculture moderne, telle qu’elle est pratiquée aujourd’hui dans le monde. J'ai trouvé une réponse concernant l'autre question de la portée naturelle de ce poisson: JP Gosse (1956) déclare que «H. fasciatus se trouve en Afrique de l'Ouest du Sénégal à l'Angola, il vit presque partout au Congo belge sauf au Katanga» (In: 2e Symposium sur l'hydrobiologie africaine et les pêches intérieures, Brazzaville, Afrique Equatoriale Française, 3-11 juillet 1956: 95-96). Problèmes de taux de survie des juvéniles de Clarias dans l'écloserie ....

Bonjour Utilisez Gemna 0.1 mm de Skretting ou Essence 0.2 mm- 0.3 mm de COPPENS. J'obtiens de très bons résultats et je produit 150 000 à 200 000 alevins toutes les 2 semaines avec deux femelles. Artemia causer une mortalité élevée que vous avez dit quelque chose de mal sur la formule. Je l'ai laissé depuis 2 ans pour cette 2 fois de nourriture sèche mentionnée. Hello Neil, Sorry for the lateness of my reply. Kindly Google 'inve artemia' u ll be shown the product and the producer. For years hatcheries around depend on this product for the fries feed. I guess they changed something in the formula which is now making the fries to die once they start feeling on it. I wouldn't mind if i can have access to what u use over there and be able to produce my own artemia. The best we do now is get 0.5-0.8mm of feeds meant for fingerlings. Grind to powder and feed the fries. In English below Bonjour à tous, Nous avons eu le même problème des faibles taux de survie des juvéniles de poisson-chat africain Djo provient principalement de cannibalisme, mais a réussi à surmonter ce problème par quatre procédures: 1. Le classement des alevins chaque 8-10 jours (pas moins et pas plus). 2. Dépôt direct alimentaires (rotifères) pour la nouvelle alevins hachurée. 3. Construire petite brique plus approprié pour le poisson-chat de fingerlings de réservoirs d'élevage les hapas de charbon net. (Et la quatrième procédure était de réduire l'agressivité des géniteurs, si vous n'appréhendé à partir de ce problème, vous pouvez l'éliminer) Les mâles et les femelles 4. Dear All, We had the same problem of low survival rates of juveniles of African catfish which mainly came from cannibalism, but we managed to overcome this problem through the following four procedures: 1. Grading the fry each 8 – 10 days (not less and not more). 2. Introduced live food (rotifers) for the new hatched fry. 3. Built small brick tanks which is more suitable for rearing the catfish fingerlings than net hapas. (And the fourth procedure was to reduce the aggressiveness of the broodstock, if you don’t suffering from this problem you can eliminate it) 4. I can tell you that there are several factors that are key to obtaining this, including optimising both water quality & feed, but even so a 50% survival is not realistic. If you get a 20% survival from egg to 1kg you are doing well.
