Please find attached a social development paper entitled "A Guide for Local Benefit
Sharing in Hydropower Projects" (June 2012).
This guide provides some advice to task teams on how to design effective local benefit
sharing mechanisms in hydropower projects. The author explains the different steps for
benefit sharing programme designing through examples supported by the World Bank :

B. Analyzing the legal and regulatory basis and local development context
