Subject: Information for Guardian Rise about Postgraduate Funding
Dear Postgrad List,
I have an enquiry from Nic Paton at Guardian Rise who would like to write
an article on postgraduate funding in the UK. He'd like to hear from any UK
postgraduates who have positive or negative feelings about their funding
situation. As many of us will know there is no typical funding system for
UK postgraduates and so the more case studies on this he gets the better.
If you are interested in telling Nic about your situation with the prospect
of it getting into the press, you are welcome to tell him about it at:
nicpaton(a)hotmail.com
Nic may also like to speak to you as individuals so if you left him a
contact number he would probably appreciate that. Many thanks,
Tim.
Dear All,
Please note that Fiona Cassidy has now finished her secondment, and will not
be returning to the University as she has accepted a post at SHEFC. We wish
her all the best in her new role although she'll be missed in the Graduate
Research School!
I am pleased to inform you that a new Research Services Officer has been
appointed, and Wilma Ellis will be joining the Planning & Research Office in
September.
Thanks to all who've helped make my time in the job so rewarding!
Natalie (moving back to Registry)
