Please could you forward this to the group? In the study, I’m aiming to find out whether humans can detect the emotional content of chimpanzee emotional displays. I would like to invite anyone over the age of 18 who is interested to take part in an online survey that should take approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete. I’m looking for both participants that have experience working with non-human primates (for example, in a caretaking or research capacity) and participants without experience working with primates. I hope you can spare the time to help. I’d also really appreciate it if anyone could send this questionnaire on to anyone else outside of BERG who has experience working with primates and might be interested in taking part. The ethical approaches of this project have been approved through the University of Stirling General University Ethics Panel. Culture Conference Call for Abstracts-- Circulate if you can!

Dear BERGers, The Ratchetcog research group at the University of Stirling is putting on the Culture Conference 2021: "Evolutionary Perspectives on Culture" virtually this year! This is great news for yourself and colleagues that are interested in presenting at a conference on cultural evolution that is 1. Free, 2. offers small funding awards for presenters, 3. comparatively small and discussion-oriented, 4. still hosts an international audience, and 5. includes an after-conference musical performance by Reely Jiggered! As one of the conference organisers, I encourage you to submit a 300 word abstract by May 3! I would also appreciate it if you could circulate this information about the conference to any individuals/groups you think might be interested. The conference is Jun 7-8, 2021.
