That certainly is a Gyrodactylus, you can even see the developing embryo within the developing embryo i.e. daughter and granddaughter inside. Great picture! This is predominantly a skin fluke and a dipterex or trichlorofon bath at 0.5ppm will solve the issue but bear in mind it's a tricky low dose. Or if you have access to saline water try that as a first option - I'm just not sure what the African catfish/parasite can tolerate. Parasites are generally easy to identify and with the right approach, easy to control. After choosing the right strategy for your operation it's basically a numbers game. Try to conduct what I like to call a 'paragram' first which is a small scale demonstration of the minimum effective dose and duration before any large scale treatment.
