Committee to conduct an  inquiry into the "lessons of the  military campaign
in Iraq .  They will be inviting submissions from "interested parties".

LESSONS OF IRAQ
The Defence Committee plans to conduct a major inquiry into the military
campaign in Iraq.  This inquiry will begin as soon as appropriate after the
conclusion of hostilities.

It has been the practice of the Defence Committee since its establishment in
1979, to conduct inquiries into the lessons of major military combat
operations.

Detailed terms of reference and a general invitation to submit written
evidence to the Committee will be issued in due course.
