Subject: Postdoctoral Research Fellow Vacancy
Dr Ailsa Millen is offering a full-time, fixed-term Postdoctoral Research Fellow position to work on the ESRC project 'Identifying Novel Markers of Concealed Face Recognition' https://www.stir.ac.uk/about/work-at-stirling/list/details/?jobId=2584&jobTitle=Postdoctoral%20Research%20Fellow starting August 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter). Ailsa is seeking an excellent postdoctoral research fellow to conduct experiments combining eye-tracking, skin conductance, facial expressions and vocal cues. Excellent programming and analysis skills are essential. A crucial aspect of this role is to streamline the completion of the existing ESRC grant by taking over programming, data analysis, and manuscript writing so these skills are essential prior to starting. The project aims to further our understanding of how our brains recognise faces and find ways to help the police detect crime (www.conface.org<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.conface.org%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cp.j.b.hancock%40stir.ac.uk%7C35f843c553a444a3afa808d940933f36%7C4e8d09f7cc794ccb9149a4238dd17422%7C0%7C0%7C637611823419622303%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=cCph86193aYbcCZVet2xeKJnGmmiKxFaFPmwaFDF8LY%3D&reserved=0>). The post is initially for 10 months but we will request an extension three months prior to the June 2022 end date.
