The panel would discuss the issues related to human capacity development and gender issues in aquaculture. As the event is now postponed to September, 2010 , there is better opportunity for us to gather more information and strengthen discussion . In this regard we request the following information from those associated with the educational institutions to provide following information. Information from Africa and Latin America would be most welcome since information is totally lacking from those regions. (a) Number of men and women passed out at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels from the institutions offering Fisheries and Aquaculture education . We would appreciate information from inception to most recent year - if gathering information from old records would be difficult, kindly gather information for whatever the years readily available. (b) Number of men and women faculty in those institutions offering fisheries and aquaculture courses (c) Any other matter that you wish to highlight , please feel free to include We would also appreciate information on the number of men and women staff in the Department of Fisheries of various countries , if the data is easily available.
