Dear PhD Lab,
There is another relevant event happening at Stirling this Friday. I can’t go myself as I
just learned about it today and I am already booked up for Friday but it’s something you
should consider attending.
Amy Hume, a Senior Behavioural Insights Associate at Ofcom is coming to our campus for a
careers event. Amy did Stirling's Behavioral Science MSc in 2015/16 and she has had a
pretty impressive career as an Applied Behavioural Scientist since.
If you can, join this event (this Friday at 2pm in Lecture Theatre B4). Amy will talk
about career opportunities at Ofcom, their projects and their methods. The event itself is
for a general audience (not particularly Behavioural Science), but given Amy's
background I am sure Behavioural Science will feature prominently.
If anything, approach Friday as a networking event where you can introduce yourself to Amy
and talk about your research if the chance arises. Amy will likely visit us again in
January (this time with a more Behavioural Science focus) so it may be useful if she
already knows who you are and what you do by then. Who knows, maybe this can lead to a
collaborative project if the stars align.
Best,
Till
