JOB ADVERT: CLOSING DATE 3 MAY
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral Research Associate position at UNSW Sydney to
work on an Australian Research Council funded project with Dr David White (UNSW Sydney)
and Dr Sebastien Miellet (University of Wollongong).
Super-recognisers are people that consistently attain the highest levels of accuracy in
challenging face identification tasks, but the basis of their ability is not clear. This
project aims to develop theoretical understanding of perceptual processing and information
sampling that gives rise to this skill. Eye-tracking methods will be used to pinpoint the
visual information used by superior face identifiers, and capture qualitative differences
in their visual processing.
