PSGB Spring meeting - Evolution of the Modern Primatologist
See ne-mail below from Sean about the PSGB meeting. Do try to go (best to register!). Dear friends/colleagues Evolution of the Modern Primatologist (PSGB spring conference, Liverpool) is shortly upon us. I hope you can make it. Please encourage your colleagues and your students to attend. It will be great if we can get a really good turn-out representing Stirling at the meeting. We think it's going to be unlike any other psgb spring conference that you might have attended before. We've taken the best elements from previous meetings, put them into ours, and sprinkled on some more good bits. We have world class invited speakers, a great mix of experienced researcher and student talks and a fine (and numerous) complement of poster presentations. For the first time there's a dedicated poster session scheduled. Another first is for poster presenters to have a session of their own at the podium; each presenter will have a turn to briefly address the delegates to highlight their research. See the schedule on the website; there's something for everyone! And if that isn't enough lunch is complimentary on both days of the meeting; and our ice cream sponsor is providing free ice cream at the evening social event to go with the complimentary glass of wine from the evening venue hosts. How well will your monkey team do in the quiz? Oh, and all that comes after the wine reception in the splendour of the VGM. If you come a day before or stay the day after, you can go to Chester Zoo for free (must register for conference and with zoo in advance, see website for details). I hope you'll now agree that we're lining up a special meeting in Liverpool, both scientifically and socially. Please register in advance, if possible. See the conference website for further details https://sites.google.com/site/psgbliverpool2011/home <https://sites.google.com/site/psgbliverpool2011/home> and follow the conference on twitter (#livpsgb). Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Liverpool. Best wishes Sean -- Dr Sean J. Dear All, I hope you are having a great Easter! Apologies for any cross posting but I have attached details of 2 new dates for Student Enrichment Courses in June and July. I have also included an advert for an unpaid research internship at Howletts and Port Lympne, which may be of interest to graduating students. I would be very grateful if you could pass these on to any potentially interested parties. Hopefully see some of you at PSGB this week! Many thanks and best wishes, Mark
