R. Liu a appelé la nuit dernière et a indiqué qu'ils avaient capturé le 
poisson hier et obenu un rendement équivalent à plus de 1 MT de poissons 
par hectare. Je me demande ce que le rendement en riz a été ? 
Malheureusement, mon collègue Oumar Male et moi étions tous deux à Niono 
près de la zone du projet et n'étaient donc pas en mesure de rencontrer 
le Dr Liu. Je lui ai demandé de m'appeller quand il reviendra 
(probablement en Janvier).
Nous avons également été contactés par Dr Nguge et Dr Coulibaly. Nous 
avons déjà rencontré avec Seydou Coulibaly au ministère de l'Elevage et 
de la Pêche
Il serait intéressant à un certain moment de présenter vos résultats aux 
personnels et managers du projets. Les activités du projet ne sont qu'à 
leurs débuts. L' eau pour l'irrigation n'arrivera pas avant Juin 
prochain au plus tôt. Alors maintenant, cela serait le bon moment pour 
lancer quelques essais sur le terrain dans la région. Certains essais de 
production de riz en saison sèche vont bientôt commencer, peut-être des 
poissons pourraient être introduits? .

C'est formidable de voir cette conversation s'installer, et je tiens à 
être tenus au courant dans la mesure du possible. Les meilleures 
informations que vous pouvez obtenir sur le travail concernant le 
riz-poisson que notre projet fait au Mali sera ce que vous recevez 
directement de Liu Liping et Dr Coulibaly. Dr Coulibaly est le directeur 
de la Direction Nationale de la Pêche, c'est notre collaborateur ditect 
au Mali, Liping dirige la composante "riz-poisson» du projet pour le 
CRSP. Nous allons bien entendu inclure des informations sur le travail 
riz-poissons dans les prochains rapports périodiques.
Comme déjà mentionné par quelqu'un en bas, nous sommes dans les 
premières étapes de ce travail, qui sera clôturé avec les premières 
démonstrations des techniques riz-poisson en Baguineda. Je crois que les 
récoltes de poissons aura lieu aujourd'hui, puis il faudra un peu de 
temps pour collecter les données restantes (au moins un casier de riz 
n'a pas encore été récoltées) et résumer les résultats. Liping va 
travailler sur tout cela après les récoltes et d'un atelier qu'il dirige 
cette semaine.
Nous serons heureux de fournir d'autres informations, par exemple sur la 
CRSP AquaFish en général ou sur notre projet au Mali en particulier, si 
cela peut être bénéfique pour vous.
