Forty years ago, South African journalist Hugh Lewin was arrested by
security police for being a member of the African Resistance Movement (ARM),
responsible for acts of sabotage against the nation¹s apartheid government.
After serving seven years as a political prisoner, Lewin went into exile in
Britain where he wrote his acclaimed book, Bandiet: Seven Years in a South
