Randy The best way to remove solids is to use center-drain round tanks. I assume you have rectangular raceways, so you need a settling basin either inside the tank (hard to fix existing tanks) or just next to it, where the water can become still so the solids will settle. Then you can pump the water back into the production tanks. I wouldn't buy Akosombo strain tilapia. They are suspected to harbor diseases and do not grow very well. I think the best approach for Togo would be to import GIFT tilapia from a reputable source. I would like to know if one or more people have experimented with azolla by putting it directly in the tanks and if this has helped to improve the quality of the water. The second thing I would like is if there is a technique or fixtures that allow to recover in a subsidiary structure the waste (food remaining, the fish faeces) from the tanks (without necessarily draining the water in the bottom of the tank ). Je voudrais savoir si une ou des personnes ont fait des expériences avec l'azolla en la mettant directement sur les bacs et si cela a a contribué à améliorer la qualité de l'eau. La deuxième chose que je voudrais est s'il existe une technique ou des montages qui permettent de recuperer dans une structure annexe les déchets (nourritures restantes, les cacas des poissons) provenant des bacs (sans obligatoirement vider le bac).
