Dear William,

I hope this message finds you in good shape.

Concerning the controversy about the name of the African catfish from Nigeria posted on SARNISSA a few weeks ago, we still do not know what is the truth: Clarotes? Bagrus? Chrysichthys? ….. My opinion is that this fish is a Clarotes sp. (confirmed by Yves Fermon who is among the best taxonomists for African fresh water fishes).

I finished writing my book and it will be published within 2 months. For those interested, there is an opportunity of ordering it from now on at a cheaper price (see attached file).

May I ask you to post the attached announcement on SARNISSA French and English lists as there are many bilingual members.

All the best, Jérôme

PS A good thing is that, with or without Brexit, we can still exchange as much as we want!!
