On International Youth Day, WorldFish will be hosting a Fish4Thought event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, donors, and stakeholders in public and private sectors and civil society to launch a new strategic brief by CGIAR’S Research Program on Fish (FISH CRP) on ‘Youth in small-scale fisheries and aquaculture.

In this virtual learning session, the authors will highlight the brief's key recommendations and outcomes. They will build on the current understanding of youth’s livelihood opportunities and challenges and explore how these conditions can affect youth's meaningful engagement in small-scale fisheries and aquaculture.

The research presentation will be followed by a panel discussion, contributing to the ongoing dialogue on impactful policies, investments, and opportunities to improve youth participation in aquatic food systems.
