Dear Pathway Representatives and Convenors,
SGSSS Hub Festival 2022 – Registrations now live!
The Scottish Graduate School of Social Science is excited to announce the launch of the 2022 Hub Festival - Alternative Futures: Sustainability in Context.
Commitment to sustainability requires systemic change across economic, political and social spheres. Imagining and implementing alternative futures and providing evidence to inform practical choices remains a central intellectual agenda for researchers now and in the future – grand challenges that will affect everyone’s lives in multiple ways.
This two-day event will bring together postgraduate researchers from institutions across Scotland to reflect on these grand challenges and the ways their current and future research may shape responses to them. The Festival will be structured around the three Hubs that form the SGSSS, which brings together researchers in disciplinary and interdisciplinary pathways to facilitate a wider discussion and engagement.
The Festival will take place virtually on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 February 2022.
Interested participants can view the full programme and register here. Places are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
The Hub Festival is open to all social science PGRs registered at Scottish HEIs. We would greatly appreciate if you could share this opportunity with your networks.
Thank you in advance.
Best wishes,
SGSSS Team
