Folks,
Please see the call by Sai Ding below for faculty to attend the RES PhD conference. There's some nice sessions perhaps of interest to faculty.
If you're a PhD and not presenting you should definitely be attending it will be super useful.
Best,

Dear Heads of Economics and SGPE directors
Next month the Royal Economic Society PhD Conference will take place at the University of Glasgow on Friday the 9th June.
With all your great support, our cross-Scotland student committee (consisting of PhD students from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Strathclyde, St Andrews, Stirling and Glasgow) has come up with an exciting conference program!
The two keynote speakers include Dr Adam S. Posen, President of Peterson Institute for International Economics, who will talk on ‘Global Economic Policy and Economic Careers’ and Prof Herve Moulin, who will share his experience on how to get published with the students.
More than 80 students from Europe and the UK will come and present their work. Apart from the peer-to-peer review and networking opportunities, the students will significantly benefit from the interactions with academic colleagues and appreciate any feedback from us. The conference falls within the week of Adam Smith 300 celebration where many interesting academic events take place. Therefore, can you please kindly pass this conference information to your colleagues in case that they have plan to come to Glasgow and may attend some parts of the conference even for 1-2 hours to support the students?
I attach the latest conference program in case this is useful. There may be some last-minute changes of the presentations, but all session time is fixed. Please encourage your colleagues to register their attendance via this booking link!
Many thanks.Best wishes.
Sai
