Alright,

So why don’t we skip tomorrow’s lab and pick things up next week with Liz presenting.

Best,
Till

Hi all,

I believe the most recent take is that we skip this week unless anyone wants to present something?

Originally Liz and perhaps Johanne were going to present but we wanted to bring some questions to the full group so thought it best to wait for Tills return.

Best,

- Simon

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if we were doing this week all online?

We will be in person next week for Friday's dinner.

This is my only commitment on Thursday so if it was online I would stay at home.

Kind regards,

Craig

Hi everyone,

Two quick things

  1. Thank you, Jayne, for forwarding these great resources. (Full disclosure: I asked Jayne if she could share her researcher log, as I think it’s great.) Also, a double thumbs up for creating a WhatsApp group.
  2. Starting this Thursday, I am away for a one-week research trip and will literally be mid-air during this week’s PhD lab. I think it’s tentatively agreed that Johanne will be presenting, which is a shame for me, as I was looking forward to it. I will make sure to catch up with it later, so please make sure to record the session.

Thanks!
Till

Hi all,

I hope you all had a nice weekend 🙂

I wanted to share a couple of things that may be of interest / helpful.

1. Conferences
If you have found any other conferences or workshops that might be of interest to the group please do share!

2. Researcher log

I have created a researcher log to keep track of everything that I'm doing, I thought it may be a useful template for others - I appreciate everyone will have their own systems so please feel free to ignore this if it isn't useful/applicable.

I've taken out all my notes on the spreadsheet, but after I've attended or completed something I write up my thoughts and anything I've learned with the idea being that when the annual review comes around, the write-up regarding training will be easier!

3. @Kevin Kim we have created a WhatsApp group for informal updates for the PhD students - Jasmine sent me your number so that I could add you, but I don't think it worked. Let me know and I can try again.

Best,
Jayne
