Postdoctoral Research Associate (Visual Perception of Faces)

About the role

A position is now available for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate the visual perception of faces as part of a scientific team based within the School of Psychology at UNSW Australia. The position is fixed-term for 3 years funded by a Discovery Project from the Australian Research Council awarded to Prof Colin Clifford and Dr Tamara Watson from the University of Western Sydney. Duties include the design and implementation of studies into the visual perception of faces and communicating results to the broader international scientific community.

About you

You should ideally have demonstrated experience in conducting psychophysical research and have recently completed a PhD in psychology or a related field. Applicants who will be awarded their PhD degree by early 2015 are also encouraged to apply. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired skills include proficiency in scientific programming.
