The below info works - here is also a link to the dog version. https://www.whole-dog-journal.com/behavior/modifying-aggressive-dog-behavior/ For wild primates, the 'sub-threshold' behavior would be moving away from the human - so you'd present the stimulus at a far enough distance where they don't move away.
I'm also happy to chat with anyone who needs some specific ideas or training protocols. I've written training protocols for projects for Northeastern, MIT, University of Glasgow, etc.
