Title: From Simple to Complex: The Role of Behavioural Variability in Habitual Actions Bio: My research intersects social and health psychology by employing the biopsychosocial model to enhance intentions and translate them into behavioural initiation and maintenance by targeting intrapersonal, interpersonal, and community resources. My work focuses on promoting simple (e.g., calcium consumption) and complex health behaviours (e.g., fruit/vegetable intake, exercise) and engagement with health and social-care systems in communities that are traditionally defined as deprived. My research examines habits, affective processes, identity, resiliency, and community resources. Currently, my habit-related research is focused on higher-order nutrition habits and the intersection between health-habits and other automatic and controlled processes, such as self-regulation and identity.
