Announcement text:

Global environmental change exerts strong and primarily negative effects on human societies. Their effect on human health are wide ranging, and recent research suggests that the climate crisis in particular negatively affects mental health and well-being. In this talk, I address the links between planetary and mental health, suggesting how and under which conditions mental health is both affected by environmental crises, but also how mental health can contribute to understanding mitigation and adaptation efforts. Based on a review of stable evidence (i.e., reviews, meta-analysis), I suggest a multilevel model that seeks to integrate planetary and mental health and well-being.
