Hi all,

We are delighted that Carl Singleton, who will be joining the economics division in January, is visiting campus next week.

Carl will present a paper that is of particular interest to the behavioural science group - 2-3pm in room  4b96, Tuesday 31 2-3pm.

The title of his paper is "Gambling on Momentum in Contests" and it is about a behavioural bias in forecasting. It uses sports betting to demonstrate an illusion of momentum.

Looking forward to seeing you there,
Dave
