Dear PhD lab,

As you can see below, it took only 18 days to reserve a table at Meadowpark. And who said only Universities suffer from bureaucratic sclerosis?

Anyway: We can now officially save the day: 1st of December at 16:45 (as 17:00 was already booked out - no joke)
The good news is that we no longer need to pay a deposit.

Now, I have to apologise for the slow response on my end. I had to check back with the other people in the group.
Our party slightly shrank from 8 to 7, but we would still like to make a reservation for the 1st at 5PMish.

We are not looking to order from the set menu. We are meeting to have some drinks, and some of us will probably order some food (from the regular menu). But this isn’t a dinner-type reservation per se.

I have a question about the deposit. Will you still require a £10 deposit even if we do not order the set menu? This would create some organisational hassle I would like to avoid (I would have to collect £10 from my colleagues).

I fully understand that you would like some type of guarantee, though. Would it be possible for you to just charge my credit card with £70 in case of a no-show situation (which won’t happen…)? I am happy to provide you with my credit card information.
