With the official media heralding the great success in breaking the deadlock
at the WTO negotiations, Raoul Djukanovic takes a different view in his

Once again, the World Trade Organisation is exposed as an unwieldy pressure
cooker where poor countries let off steam before the rich world turns up the
heat. In Geneva this weekend the poor were thrown a bone or two to chew on
but nothing much has changed. The injustices of trade fuel poverty; only
reforms can fight it.
