Dear List-members,

ITV News, at 5.40 pm today, broadcast the thoughts of Mr Eric Moonman, and he was billed as a 'Terrorism Expert'.

Mr Moonman was a British Labour MP, and is now the President of 'The Zionist Federation of London'. Neither of these facts was flashed across the screen for the benefit of viewers.

Today, of all days - when the Palestinian people have been told by the most powerful man in the world that they should forget their decades-old dream of returning home - it is obscene that terrestrial broadcasters invite comment from such people regarding wider developments in the Middle East whilst failing to acknowledge the powerful influences at work behind their commentary.

This short message is simply to alert fellow list-members - perhaps 'Expert-Watch' would be a useful supplement to ordinary postings. There are many 'experts' out there, and many of you are surely among them, but let's face it - how often do you get called by ITN/BBC/CNN etc etc for your opinion ?

Eh ?

(I write this as an 'expert' on the effects of mass-media/intellectual Terrorism i.e. the effects of being terrorised by The State Broadcaster in my own country which - according to what my Dad told me - was established to 'educate, enlighten and inform' me about the world I could not see and hear and touch for myself. That isn't happening, and the 'effect' is horrifying - it is hard enough to be lied to, and harder still to know and acknowledge that one has been lied to, but to be lied to so consistently, so brazenly, even when the truth is so obvious, becomes utterly nauseating, unbearable. The BBC, as most of us 'know' it, died when it caved in to New Labour over the Hutton Affair, and will never ever regain the credibility it lost, no matter how undeserved the original credibility was - Campbell, Blair, Hoon, Straw et al will, in time, be exposed and shamed, but what institution can or will ever expose the involvement of mass-media in this grotesque pantomime ?? More importantly, what will have to happen before the BBC recognises the widespread fear that US/Israeli behaviour is goading other nations into WW3 ? This 'possibility' has not, as far as I'm aware, even been mentioned on terrestrial BBC channels.)

Next time you see a 'Terrorism Expert' taking up air-time on the Beeb in response to the latest 'Terrorist' horror, please jot down his/her name, 'google' them, scan the results, then stand back and work it out for yourself... then, when you've finished clearing up your own vomit, send the name into media-watch and perhaps, just perhaps, we can all help one another to make some sense of it, and one day we'll send in our own 'expert' analysis for perusal by the editors...

...who are the editors ??

(Incidentally, are any list-members familiar with 'thememoryhole' ? For some reason I cannot locate it via Google. Okay, I don't have Broadband, but managed to get it before now. It was at www.thememoryhole.org but now is referred to as 'a navigation error'.)

Best regards,

Ian Brotherhood
