[Media-watch] Can the press damage the cause of peace?

There was an interesting discussion today on Radio 4's today programme (an
Israeli academic called Professor Wolfsfeld [??] and Roy Greenslade,
formerly of the Mirror) talking about the inherent bias of the media in
various peace processes - in particular mention was made of the
under-reporting of loyalist terrorism, and the biased reporting of the Oslo
Accords. The major thrust was that this bias was not due to a conspiracy,
but rather reflected the internalisation of mainstream political values by
