National academic awards are in respect of the Academic Year 2004/5
Awarded to women students of any nationality in the final year of formal
study in the UK towards a PhD
Chief criterion is academic excellence (not living expenses)
The competition runs from 1 December 2003 until 2 April 2004 with awards
paid in September 2004 to the successful applicants.

International Awards are in respect of the Academic Year 2005/06
They are awarded for study, research or training at the doctoral or
post-doctoral level in various countries including America, Australia,
Canada, Japan and Norway.
