Hi,
A 2-3 year Research Assistant or Associate (post-doctoral) position is available to work with Dr Chris Petkov and Dr Quoc Vuong (Newcastle University, UK) on a BBSRC funded project entitled: The impact of attention on the neuronal mechanisms of adaptation in humans and animal models. The proposed research combines imaging and electrophysiological recordings to test neuronal models of adaptation, and how attention affects adaptation mechanisms. These adaptation models will be tested in the domain of visual face perception and/or auditory voice perception in both humans and the model system.
Applications will begin to be reviewed June 7, 2012, until a suitable candidate has been appointed
Start date: September/October 2012
