<div>This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious PhD student to join the Swiss</div>
<div>National Science Foundation project “EVOPHON: Evolution of Phonetics and</div>
<div>Phonology” (Principle Investigator: Dr. Steven Moran). The successful candidate will</div>
<div>join an interdisciplinary team of researchers working on the evolutionary origins of</div>
<div>language. We aim to shortlist applicants with an MSc or MA degree, a relevant training</div>
<div>background (evolutionary biology, primatology, phonetics, linguistics, or similar),</div>
<div>strong interest in animal communication and language, and (advanced) data analysis</div>
<div>and scientific writing skills. Previous experience with (bio-) acoustic analysis is a</div>
