Congratulations to BERG winners: Kristine Gandia (Best Early Career Researcher) and Sarah Kraemer (Best Research Activity which promotes Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for her International Women’s day activities). Best Research Leadership: Prof Niamh Fitzgerald, Pro Anna Whittaker, Prof Crispin Wright, Prof Helen Cheyne and Dr Line Caes.

Best Collaborator: Dr Jenni Connelly, Kathryn Angus, Dr Isabelle Uny, Prof Cate Watson and Amy Woodhouse from Children in Scotland.

Best Support from Professional Services: The funding team (so many excellent nominations across the whole team that we could not single out individuals), Stella Turner, Donna McKendrick and Aileen Paton. We also snuck in some special mentions here, based on their nominations: Contribution to Ref: Dr Ben Fanstone and Žaneta Ulozeviciute. Covid recovery: James Dick and Overall contribution to research culture: Betsy Fuller.

Best Mentor: Dr Naomi Brooks, Prof Ronan O’Carroll, Prof Rowan Cruft, Dr Colin Moran and Dr Jennifer Dickie.

Best Early Career Researcher: Dr Anna Bobak, Dr Gemma Ryde, Kristine Gandia, Dr Monique Botha and Mrs Hazel Booth.

Best Activity which enhances Research Culture: ISMH weekly team meeting (Aileen Paton), Faculty of Social Sciences Peer Review College (Prof Fiona Copland), Psychology cake social (Prof Peter Hancock) and the Interdisciplinary Research Network (Miss Wendy Masterton) – who were also running a series of brilliant events last week.

Best Research Activity which promotes Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: ISMH weekly team meeting (Prof Niamh Fitzgerald), Invisible knapsack presentation (Dr Sandra Engstrom), International Women’s day activities (Sarah Kraemer), Life through a lens research team (Dr Karen Watchman)

There were also 25 people who were nominated in multiple categories so particular congratulations go to them.
